Both Genocides had an ethnic and religious piece. The Germans killed Jews (and others) while the Khmer Rouge murdered those of Chinese, Thai, and Vietnamese backgrounds. They wanted to create a pure race. Both used camps and labor camps to concentrate the people and make them work. Each genocide was during a time of war. They also differed. The Cambodian Genocide wasn't as large but it killed a larger percentage of their country. They didn't gas people. The Germans had a strong hate for the Jews while the Cambodians feared everyone who were against them.
